Today history remembers and celebrates a man who dedicated his live to the struggle against apartheid, a man who sacrificed 27 years of his life for the liberation of South Africa. Nelson Mandela was a social and political activist, who believed in his dream of freedom, justice and equality. He had a self-conviction about his dream and refused to conform to the suppression and humiliation that follow suit the apartheid policy.
Nelson Mandela was determined to see South Africa better off in spite of all the trials he faced, he also believed in the power of education and continuous self-development as he kept on striving for educational empowerment in and out of prison which accounts for his intelligence. Named the father of South Africa liberation and friend to all whom after attaining victory, which led to him becoming president of South Africa, he emphasized on the beauties of forgiveness and unity.
Today as we remember this hero for the impact he made in the world, we try to emulate the qualities and attributes that shaped his character in order to strive to change our world by impacting lives positively each day.
